Electrical Technology A.A.S.: This program is an excellent path for a number of careers in areas such as chip fabrication (semiconductor manufacture), equipment support, and manufacturing automation and robotics. A “system approach” on mechatronic equipment is used to understand how electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components work together. Graduates have found success locally with the ability to travel.
Automation Systems / Mechatronics Certificate: Provides an outstanding path to jobs in advanced manufacturing, including those in the field of semiconductor manufacture. This certificate also provides a pathway to the two-year Electrical Technology A.A.S. program.
Construction Technology: Sustainable Building A.A.S.: Provides students with the knowledge and skills for successful entry to the building construction field and provides students with a practical application of the methods, materials, and practices of the residential building industry with an emphasis on green technologies and sustainable building. With additional field experience, the successful graduate shall be prepared for entry level positions in general contracting, subcontracting, NYS field inspector positions, as well as construction supervision, lab, office, and field positions with material suppliers, designers, builders, developers, and engineering firms.
Facilities Maintenance and Industrial Technology A.A.S.: Provides students with the knowledge and skills for successful entry into the facilities maintenance field by building a foundation of Construction, Plumbing and Electrical, and HVAC/R skills. Successful graduates will be prepared for positions in Construction, Electrical, HVAC/R, and Facilities Maintenance entry level positions.
Facilities Maintenance Certificate: Provides students with knowledge and skills for successful entry into the facilities maintenance field.
HVAC one-year certificate program: This program is designed to provide students with concentrated skill training for employment in this rapidly growing field, including maintenance and service of new and existing HVAC/R equipment, sales, and equipment testing for HVAC/R manufacturers. Students obtain entry-level knowledge and skills in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R). The curriculum emphasizes the development of technical, diagnostic, problem-solving, maintenance, repair, and customer service skills. Students will practice laboratory safety standards and rules consistent with industry practices.
