Admissions Checklist

_____ FM Free Online Application

_____ Campus Tour
Click here to schedule a tour or contact our Admissions office (518) 736-3622 x8301 or text us at 518-332-2114 and type “Tour”.

_____ One Official High School Transcript or GED or TASC Certificate with scores
High School transcript must be sent directly from your school to the Admissions Office.
GED/TASC with scores may be Submitted to the Admissions office in the Student Welcome Center.

High School Students: Be sure to tell your counselor to send your final official transcript to Admissions after graduation.

_____ Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete online or in the Financial Aid office in the Student Welcome Center.  Need assistance? Call Financial Aid at 518-736-3622 x8201.

After Acceptance

_____ Writing Assessment
(waived if you scored 85% or higher on the English Regents exam or successfully completed College English with a “C” or above)

_____ Academic Advisement
After completing writing assessment.

_____ Proof of Immunization
Fax to 518-762-4334
(form available online  or complete at the Registrar office in the Student Development Center, questions? call 518-736-3622 x8141)

_____ Certificate of Residence
(not required for Fulton or Montgomery County residents) All other NYS residents need to submit a notarized Certificate of Residence from your County Treasurer’s Office.  Submit to Student Accounts (Bursar) office in the Student Welcome Center.

_____ Transfer Students
Request official academic transcripts from any previously attended colleges.

_____Student Credentials
Once registered for classes, watch your mail for your username and password, in separate mailings, to login to MyFM.

_____Student Identification Card
Visit the Public Safety office in the Physical Education Building to get your Student ID.

_____Computer Requirements
Fulton-Montgomery Community College requires all students to have a Windows or Macintosh laptop or desktop computer. Students are often eligible for discounts from retailers. The Raider Trader College Store also has computers and electronics for sale and students may elect to use their financial aid for purchase through the store. Financially disadvantaged students can apply for consideration to borrow a laptop from the college.
