Learning Center

Welcome to the Learning Center at Fulton-Montgomery Community College

The mission of the FM Learning Center is to help students improve their academic skills and move toward independent Learning. In a non-threatening, enthusiastic atmosphere of scholarly pursuit, this mission may be accomplished through one-on-one or group tutoring, workshops on basic academic skills and/or handouts reinforcing skills. The FM Learning Center works closely with academic instructors to provide outstanding academic support and resources to assist students in reaching their educational and career goals.

You have entered a community of learning. Helpful people are eager to help you attain your education goals throughout the campus. Here, at the Learning Center, you have access to friendly people and useful resources to support you in your academic program. Our tutoring labs can help you to understand the tasks you need to do and help to prepare you for tests and projects. Our staff works closely with faculty to assure you have what you need to be successful. We have both professional tutors and peer tutors who can work with you in small groups or individually. Peer tutors use Socratic questioning methods to help guide you in your learning.  Click here for more information.

All students can benefit from the learning expertise and methods used in the Learning Center. Whether you need help with a paper, understanding math or science homework, note taking or preparing for a test, the Learning Center is the place to go. Students using accommodations can take their tests with supports in a quiet environment. Additional supports are available including alternative texts, note taking, and academic success planning.
