Lynne.IllsleyLynne is a 1986 alumni from FM’s Nursing program. After graduation, she worked many years as a Registered Nurse in local hospitals, a doctor’s office, an elementary school, and as a community nurse educator. In 2002, she was hired part-time by FM as the Nursing Lab Coordinator and an adjunct nursing clinical instructor. Additionally, she worked as a clinical instructor for the HFM BOCES LPN Program.

Lynne was hired by FM as a full-time nursing faculty member in 2008. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Nursing. “I am so happy to be able to give back to FM for what it has given to me. The foundation for a very satisfying nursing career where I have been able to assist others in the same community I grew up in,” says Lynne. “I strive to provide my students the same strong foundation for a very challenging, but rewarding nursing career.”

Lynne is a member of the American Nurses Association, ANA NY, and Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She currently serves as board secretary for the Mental Health Association in Fulton & Montgomery County, is a board member for the Mohawk Valley Nurses Association, and serves as a mentor for nursing students in graduate nursing programs.

On campus, Lynne has served on several committees. She currently serves on the Policy, Mentorship, and Radiology Assessment Committees, and is co-advisor for FM’s Student Nurses Association.

Lynne earned her Associates in Applied Science in Nursing from FM in 1986, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006, and her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in education in 2008.
