Special 20th Anniversary 9.11 Remembrance Ceremony

With the observation of the 20th anniversary of the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001, Fulton-Montgomery Community College is planning a remembrance event on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  All are welcome to attend.

The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m., with members of the Schenectady Pipe Band performing.  The agenda includes a welcome from FM President Greg Truckenmiller, Assemblyman Santa Barbara, Assemblyman Smullen, Sheriff Richard Giardino from the Fulton County Sheriff’s office, and Sheriff Jeff Smith from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.  Members of the Town of Mohawk Fire Department will be on hand to provide a bell ringing service during the event as well.

Professor Joel Chapin will provide a history of the piece of the tower that is installed on the campus and our Perrella Art Gallery will be open with a photo display from the 9/11 attack.

All are welcome to attend this important remembrance event.  Reservations are not necessary.
