CARES Act HEERF Student Aid Report

Posted: May 28, 2020Fulton-Montgomery Community College acknowledges an authorized representative of the institution has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College has received or will receive $817,710 from the Department of Education pursuant to the Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College has distributed $758,789 under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of September 22, 2020.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College has determined 982 at the institution are eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

912 have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of September 22, 2020.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College has prioritized awarding of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to its students in the following manner (methodology)

  • Priority 1: PELL Eligible Students
  • Priority 2: Title IV eligible students

Under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act, students received will be $832

The total number of eligible students was 2325.

Students will be asked to review and digitally sign a certification acknowledging that by accepting these funds, the student is affirming that the student has realized or will realize expenses, related to the disruption of classed due to the coronavirus.  Please continue to check your FM email for information regarding the CARES Act funding.
