Panel Discussion of FM College Professors and the FM Career Counselor discussing:

      • How do community college programs prepare students for the workforce
      • What kind of job opportunities are there for graduates of community college programs
      • What are the benefits of a community college education
      • What role do internships play in preparing our students for the work force and who are those local employers
      • What skill gaps are in our area


6:45 – 7:30 PM    “A Parent Perspective of the College Process”

Panel Discussion of local parents with personal experience discussing:

      • What went well and didn’t go well with my child’s transition from high school to college
      • How did the College in the High School Program impact my child’s college program
      • How well did the transfer process work from a community college to a four year university
      • How best to deal with accommodations and student needs at college for a child with an IEP or 504 Plan.
