A career in X-Ray Tech and Radiology

The Bureau of Labor statistics expects the number of radiologic and x-ray technician jobs to jump 17 percent by 2018 – a number that’s much higher than average. Studying for one of those jobs at Fulton-Montgomery Community College means enjoying some of the lowest tuition rates available in state, personalized instruction and state-of-the-art equipment.

With an associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, you will be eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination for certification and New York State licensure.

You will understand human anatomy, radiographic procedures and radiation safety to provide quality diagnostic radiographic films. You’ll help diagnose and treat injury and disease.

Our students work with hospitals, clinics, private imaging centers and medical physician offices while they study, getting on-the-job training and getting to know the people at the facilities they plan to join.

FM also has robust transfer agreements and dual-admission programs with four-year colleges if you choose to continue your education. Meanwhile, you could save up to $90,000 in two years with our low tuition and generous financial aid packages.

FM’s degree and certificate programs can get you started quickly in the caring professions.
