Stay at FM- We Are Unstoppable

You might think that FM has been winding down during the summer months, but nothing could be further from the truth. As always our campus is teaming with activity.

In the spring of 2010 we graduated 451 students, our largest graduating class ever. We awarded 402 career track and transfer associates degrees, as well as 49 certificates.

While portions of the college have focused on commencement during the spring, other offices continually recruit new and work diligently to retain continuing students for the following semesters. Signs of campus growth and movement are everywhere.

New construction is far and wide, from creating a Clean Room Laboratory for our Center for Engineering and Technology to beautifying the aesthetics of the campus.

This new construction will ensure that students achieve their fullest academic potential. Additionally, the new labs will be great for the local economy. The Electrical Technology program will be a prime user of the Clean Room Laboratory and an excellent feeder degree for the new micro chip plant Global Foundries just down Route 67 in Malta. This plant will be adding over approximately 1400 jobs to the region. Hector Ruiz, the new chairman of Global Foundries said that the new chip plant is “by far the most significant high-tech investment made in this country in decades.”

So as you can see FM is unstoppable, even in the summer, it’s the place to be. We are on the cutting edge of booming local technology.  Additionally we have incredible programs for those interested in other AAS career track degrees like nursing or A.S. and A.A. degrees which ensure smooth transferability.

So move forward with your education and your future. Stay at FM because…Futures Are Made Here!!
