Congratulations on your acceptance to Fulton-Montgomery Community College! Follow these easy step-by-step instructions to complete the enrollment process.

NOTE:  If you applied for Nursing or Radiologic Technology you must complete a separate application.  Deadline dates apply.

Step 1. Schedule your Placement Test

Call the Student Development Center 518-736-FMCC (3622) extension 8140 to schedule your placement test (What is this?)

Step 2. Reserve Housing – Commuter students skip to Step 3

All first-year full-time students who relocate to the region for the purposes of attending college at FM are required to live on campus during their first year of attendance, on a space available basis. Students must complete placement testing and pay their $300 Housing Fee before they can reserve housing. Please note, the $300 Housing Fee is non-refundable in the event the student cancels their enrollment. Click here for Fall 2014 Housing packet.   Complete all housing documents and hand them into the Admissions office the day of your placement test. Housing forms cannot be mailed in advance of your placement test.

Step 3. Register for Classes

Upon completion of your placement test, an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor to select your classes will be scheduled. Out-of-town students may have their advising appointment completed the same day as their placement test.

If you are a returning student or your placement testing has been waived (contact Admissions for information concerning criteria for placement test waiver) contact the Student Development Center at 518-736-FMCC (3622) extension 8140 to schedule an appointment to meet with Academic Advisor. Helpful tips:

• Complete your placement testing and reserve your housing right away! Popular classes fill quickly and housing is limited so don’t delay. Contact the Student Development Center to begin the registration process.

• Apply for financial aid early! File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for aid. Students can apply as early as January 1st for the upcoming Fall semester (ie: January 1, 2012 first day to file FAFSA for the Fall 2012). Go to www.fafsa.edu.gov.  Once you have applied, go to MyAid to check the status of your aid at FM.
