Step 2. Reserve Housing – Commuter students skip to Step 3
All first-year full-time students who relocate to the region for the purposes of attending college at FM are required to live on campus during their first year of attendance, on a space available basis. Students must complete the writing assessment and pay their $50 Security Deposit and $200 Housing Fee before they can reserve housing. Please note, the $250 Housing Fee is non-refundable in the event the student cancels their enrollment. Click here for full details and the Housing Request Form. Complete all housing documents and hand them into the Bursars office the day of your writing assessment. Housing forms cannot be mailed in advance of your writing assessment.
Step 3. Register for Classes
Upon completion of your writing assessment, an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor to select your classes will be scheduled. Out-of-town students may have their advising appointment completed the same day as their writing assessment.
If you are a returning student or your writing assessment has been waived contact the Student Development Center at 518-736-FMCC (3622) extension 8140 to schedule an appointment to meet with Academic Advisor. Check out the class schedule by clicking here.
Step 4. Register for Orientation
