Congratulations on your acceptance to Fulton-Montgomery Community College! Follow these easy step-by-step instructions to complete the enrollment process.
NOTE: If you are interested in Nursing or Radiologic Technology you must complete a separate application. Deadline dates and specific prerequisite requirements apply.
Step 1. Schedule your Placement /Assessment
Call the Student Development Center 518-736-FMCC (3622) extension 8140 to schedule your placement/assessment. (What is this?)
Click and print your Placement/Assessment Guide and Student Immunization Requirement form. Students residing outside Fulton and Montgomery Counties are required to submit a Certificate of Residence. Click here for more information.
Step 2. Reserve Housing – Commuter students skip to Step 3
All first-year full-time students who relocate to the region for the purposes of attending college at FM are required to live on campus during their first year of attendance, on a space available basis. Students must complete the placement/assessment and pay their $300 Housing Fee before they can reserve housing. Please note, the $300 Housing Fee is non-refundable in the event the student cancels their enrollment. Click here for Fall 2015 Housing Request Form. Complete all housing documents and hand them into the Bursars office the day of your placement/assessment. Housing forms cannot be mailed in advance of your placement/assessment.
Step 3. Register for Classes
Upon completion of your placement/assessment, an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor to select your classes will be scheduled. Out-of-town students may have their advising appointment completed the same day as their placement/assessment.

Step 4. Register for Orientation
Student Activities will mail information regarding Orientation.
• Complete your placement/assessment and reserve your housing right away! Popular classes fill quickly and housing is limited so don’t delay. Contact the Student Development Center to begin the registration process.
• Apply for financial aid early! File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for aid. Students can apply as early as January 1st for the upcoming Fall semester (ie: January 1, 2016 first day to file FAFSA for the Fall 2016). Go to fafsa.ed.gov . Once you have applied, go to MyAid to check the status of your aid at FM.
