"Why do I have to pay for a parking permit?" To enhance student safety on campus the FMCC Department of Public Safety has instituted an annual parking permit system. The parking permit fee helps in to offset the cost of this enhancement.
- "When will I receive my loan refund?" Loan funds are disbursed from your lender after the start of the semester. These funds will be released to FMCC once you have completed the steps outlined in the notification letter you receive from the Financial Aid Office. Your refund will be mailed to you.
- "When will I receive my financial aid refund?" The initial disbursement will arrive in November. Your refund check will be mailed to you.
- "Do I need to do 'another' Certificate of Residence?" A Certificate of Residence is required each academic year.
- "How do I prove my residence?" A list of suggestions can be found on the Certificate of Residence form, which is available in the Bursar's Office or on-line located in the "Residency Requirement"section. Normally, a driver's license is sufficient as long as it lists your current street address and is approximately a year old. A P.O. Box address CANNOT be used. Please note that you are required to verify your residence for the 12 months prior to registration.
- "When does my bill need to be paid? Fall 2008 bills are due August 8,2008.
- "Do you have a payment plan?" Yes! TuitionPay Plan (www.TuitionPay.com) or (800) 635-0120) provides a monthly payment plan allowing you to pay your bill in four (4) monthly installments with the first payment due on August 15, 2008. There is a $35.00 enrollment fee.
- "Why do I have to pay the technology fee?" The funds collected through the technology fee contribute to the ongoing technology upgrades across campus, both academically and administratively. This fee is not course driven.
- "Is it too late to get my money back?" If you withdraw from the college or reduce your course load, you may be eligible for a refund. Please refer to the SUNY Uniform Tuition Refund Policy and the FMCC Add/Drop Policy.
- "Do I need an FMCC Student I.D.?" Absolutely!
