Associated General Contractors of America (New York State Chapter)
College students working toward a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology at a college or university; the Chapter awards more than a dozen $2,500 scholarships each July. Applicant must be entering the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a two- or four-year college and must be seriously intent upon a career in the highway construction industry; must pursue a Bachelor or Associate degree in Construction or Civil Engineering and have at least a 2.50 GPA; must reapply each year up to three years of undergraduate study; many of our winners each year are repeat winners. Baptist Health (Alfred Kahler Academic Scholarship Program)
Baptist Health will award two (2) two thousand five-hundred dollar ($2500) academic scholarships: one for a high school senior only, and one for a person not currently in high school only. Awards are deferred until successful completion of one semester of study and evidence of continued enrollment, to a deserving candidate who is currently planning to enter or continuing in an accredited program of study with a concentration in healthcare-related human services. Christopher Sollecito Memorial Scholarship

Coca−Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship
In partnership with Phi Theta Kappa and USA TODAY, this new community college academic team seeks to honor 60 students as representatives of all outstanding community college students, offering scholarships for Gold, Silver and Bronze Scholars, as well as an additional 300 Coca−Cola Two-Year finalists. Selection is based on nominations submitted by community college presidents or CEOs, who receive nomination materials in the fall. Must be enrolled at a community college through December 2011; cumulative college-level GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. If student has attended more than one school, all transcripts will be recalculated to determine the cumulative GPA for all college-level coursework taken; must be on track to earn an Associate; need to have a minimum of 36 semester (or 48 quarter) college-level credits completed at or transferred to a community college by December 31, 2010 and 48 semester (or 72 quarter), college-level credits by August 31, 2011. Students must have a minimum of 30 semester (or 45 quarter), college-level credit hours completed at a community college in the past five years; must not have been nominated previously for the All-USA Community College Academic Team; must have a community college record free of suspension, probation, or other serious disciplinary action. Must have a record 1) free from any criminal conduct, or 2) if a convicted felon, has completed all conditions of sentencing, including probation. Students who attend community college in the United States do not need to be a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Hispanic College Fund (Transfer Students)
Annually awards 200 scholarships of $1,250 and $2,500 to students transferring from a two-year college to a four-year college; students may be transferring to any U.S. accredited four-year institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam in Fall 2008 or Spring 2009; Hispanic Heritage, U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident; minimum GPA 3.0 required; must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program; each scholarship has its own set of criteria; deadline March 15. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation – Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program (Transfer Students)
Annually awards approximately 50 scholarships worth up to $30,000 to students and recent alumni from accredited community colleges transferring to four-year colleges; two students or recent alumni nominated from each school; 3.5 GPA; plan to enroll full-time in a four-year college in Fall 2008; applicants with academic excellence and unmet financial need. The Junior College Transfer Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating community college student who demonstrates scholastic ability and plans to attend an accredited four-year college or university as a fully matriculated third-year student. Price Chopper Minority Scholarship Awards established 12 different scholarships of $2000 each to aid Price Chopper Associates in realizing their educational potential and dreams. Founder’s Scholarship is to be awarded to two graduating high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership. The Charles Pierce Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates scholastic ability. The Two-Year Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating high school senior entering his/her first year at a community college. The Tillie Golub-Schwartz Memorial Scholarship for Minorities to be awarded to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates commitment to humanity. The Two-Year Health Care Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating high school senior entering their first year at a degree-granting community college in the health care field. The Lotte Meers Memorial Scholarship for Educators to be awarded to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates scholastic ability and is entering the field of education. The 2008 Do-Over Scholarship
Five students will each receive a $1000 scholarship. Winners will be chosen based on their responses (250 words or less) to the given topic: “If you were given one “do-over” would you (a) use it for yourself; (b) give it to another person; or (c) choose not to use it? The Sallie Mae Fund

SEMA Memorial Scholarship – Outreach to Students
This scholarship was founded in 1984 to foster leadership in the specialty equipment marketplace and support educational goals for students pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket. SEMA scholarships are awarded annually and have been distributed to hundreds of students in support and encouragement of their educational goals; minimum 2.5 GPA; personal essay; two letters of recommendation; enrolled full-time and pursuing studies leading to a career in the automotive aftermarket or related field. Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards Program
The Women’s Opportunity Awards for Soroptimist International of Fulton County are cash awards provided to women who are seeking to improve their economic status by gaining additional skills, training or education. These awards are not scholarships, but rather cash awards to offset costs associated with these women’s efforts to attain higher education, including tuition, books, supplies, childcare, or transportation costs; women with primary financial responsibility for supporting a family; undergraduate degree program, and financial need. Talbots Women’s Scholarship
