ASL 101 Elementary AmericanSign Language I 3 s.h.

Introduces American Sign Language, the visual-gestural language of the deaf. Incorporates non-verbal communication techniques, basic sign terminology, basic vocabulary, finger spelling, basic linguistic principles, and conversational skills. ASL 102 Elementary AmericanSign Language II 3 s.h.

Expands basic skills in American Sign Language. Emphasis is placed on expressive and receptive conversational skills, including vocabulary expansion, master linguistic principles, classifications, sign fluidity, and transliteration.  Prerequisite: ASL 101.
