Matt started his teaching career at FM in January 2009 and is responsible for teaching and administering various mathematics courses ranging from developmental mathematics to the calculus sequence.
Prior to coming to FM, Matt was an associate statistician for Lockheed Martin and prior to that, a transportation analyst for New York State‟s Department of Transportation. He also worked at University of Nevada’s Department of Mathematics as a Graduate Assistant Mathematics Instructor and Science Outreach Coordinator.
At FM, Matt is a member of the college’s Policy Committee and has served on the Library Advisement Committee. He is involved with the Honor Program; working with students on individual honor’s projects and teaching honor’s sections of statistics.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from SUNY Albany and a Masters of Science in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Nevada. He is currently working on a second Master’s degree in Economics and continues to educate himself on the newest technologies in the field.
Matt is an avid reader and a fan of baseball; if he’s not watching a game you can usually find Matt playing in one.
