Marlene has been with FM for 24 years, 20 of those years as an adjunct professor and the last 10 years teaching full-time in the field of Human Services. Her course load includes Introduction to Human Services, Interventions, Substance Use Disorders, Gerontology, Mental Health Services, and Introduction to Sociology.
Initially hired under a grant as the Accessibility Counselor, Marlene developed what was then known as the Office for Students with Disabilities, currently known as the Accessibility Office.
Marlene earned a B.S. in Psychology, a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare; each from University at Albany.
She is certified in Rehabilitation Counseling and received the Excellence in Part-Time Teaching Award from the University at Albany in 2009.
In her free time, Marlene enjoys biking, hiking, yoga and reading.
