Marlene has been with FM for 26 years, 20 of those years as an adjunct professor and 6 full-time teaching in the field of Human Services. Her course load includes Introduction to Human Services, Interventions, Substance Use Disorders, Gerontology, Mental Health Services, and Introduction to Sociology.
Initially hired under a grant as the Accessibility Counselor, Marlene developed what was then known as the Office for Students with Disabilities, currently known as the Accessibility Office.
Marlene earned a B.S. in Psychology, a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare; each from University at Albany.
She is certified in Rehabilitation Counseling and received the Excellence in Part-Time Teaching Award from the University at Albany in 2009.
In her free time, Marlene enjoys biking, hiking, jogging and reading.
