Marcia began her teaching career at FM in September 2003. Her teaching responsibilities include Nursing Science III Cardiopulmonary Nursing and Nursing Science IV Neurosensory Nursing.
She is a member of several professional organizations including New York Nurses Association; Mohawk Valley Nurses Association Board Member; Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing; American Nurses Association; and National League for Nurses.
Her community service includes volunteering for Nurse Response for New York State for national and statewide emergencies; volunteering for Montgomery County Health Department’s Project “HELP” (Health Emergency Lifesaving Partnership); volunteering for Public Health in Fulton County; and serving as a member of the Montgomery County Historical Society. In the past, Marcia also served as an Advisory Committee member for HFM BOCES. At FM, Marcia serves on the Civility Committee, Scholarship Committee, and Sustainability Committee.
Some of Marcia’s honors include being the recipient of Gentiva’s Caregiver of the Month on three different occasions, Gentiva’s Caregiver of the Year, and being inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Marcia has earned a B.S. in Nursing from Alfred University and an M.S. in Community Health Nursing with a tract in Clinical Nurse Specialist from Sage Graduate School.
