Lynne has worked as a registered nurse in the local area since graduating from FM’s Nursing Program in 1986. Her nursing specialty is in maternal-child health.
In 2002 Lynne was hired by FM as the part-time nursing lab coordinator. She also worked as a nursing clinical adjunct for FM’s nursing program and as a clinical instructor for the HFM BOCES LPN program.
In 2008, Lynne was hired by FM as full-time nursing faculty, teaching first year nursing students. Today she is an Assistant Professor of Nursing. “I am so happy to be able to give back to the FM Nursing Program for what it has given to me; the foundation for a very satisfying nursing career where I have been able to assist others in the same community I grew up in,” says Lynne. “I strive to provide my students the same strong foundation for a very challenging, but rewarding nursing career.”
Lynne graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh and a M.S.N. in Nursing Education from Walden University.
Lynne is a member of the American Nurses Association, ANA New York, The National League of Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She serves on the Fulton-Montgomery Mental Health Association Board of Directors, is a member of The Mohawk Valley District 10 Nurses Association, and she mentors students from both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Lynne serves on several college committees including FM’s Honor’s Committee, co-advisor for the Student Nurses’ Association, member of the Academic Integrity Committee, and member of the Radiology Technology Assessment Committee.
In her spare time Lynne enjoys canoeing and camping in the Adirondacks with her family.
