Frank Yunker is a full-time professor of Computer Information Systems and a part-time adjunct in Economics. His course offerings include Computer Applications, Programming and Web Programming. In the Business Division he teaches both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, He is also trained as a DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) Facilitator.
Frank was the first professor to teach both an on-line class at FM as well as utilize student podcasts in a threaded audio discussion. He now uses “on-location videos” in his economics classes.
He is the campus representative for SUNY’s Faculty Access to Computing Technology (known as FACT2) and currently serves on the SUNY FACT2 executive board. He is also a member of the Learning Analytics Task Group and serves as the Webmaster-Programmer for Mohawk Valley Web Development.
Frank has presented at various conferences nationwide including the West Coast Annual Economics Teaching Conference held at the University of Reno, Nevada; the SUNY Conference of Instructional Technologies at SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, New York; and the International Journal of the Arts and Sciences Conference in Aix-en-Provence, France, to name a few.
He is also president of the Clearwater Lake Restoration Association. It truly is a “dam committee.”
Frank earned each of his higher education degrees from University at Albany including a B.S., a M.A. in Economics, and a M.B.A.
