FM’s 21st Annual Golf Classic A Success – Hole in One Winner for a 2014 Mangino Chevrolet Impala!

FM hosted its 21st Annual Golf Classic, “Keeping Futures on Course,” Wednesday, May 21 at Fox Run Golf Club in Johnstown. The Golf Classic raised over $30,000 to support scholarships and capital projects through the Foundation of FM.

“We are so grateful to our sponsors and golfers for their continued support of this tournament which is the College’s largest fundraiser,” said Lesley Lanzi, Executive Director of the Foundation. “We are extremely thankful to our generous sponsors including Miracle Ear, Mangino Chevrolet, NBT Bank, Merrill Lynch, Chartwells Dining Services, Pepsi, Miller Printing, Martin, Schudt, Wallace, DiLorenzo and Johnson, Repeat Business Systems, St. Mary’s Healthcare, West and Company, Shannon Rose Design, Tetra Tech, American Tower, Saratoga Eagle Sales and Services, Standard Commercial Interiors, Johnstown Holiday Inn, and Annese. The volunteers, golfers, sponsors, and prize donors all contributed to the success of this annual event.”

The winning foursomes were as follows: first place low gross included Rick Frasier, Charlie DeZolt, Tom Simek, and Jeremie Frasier; second place low gross included Jack Callery, Frank Bruno, Lou Lanzi, and Luigi Lanzi; third place low gross included Butch Greco, Tony Torani, Bob Kosineski, and Brian Kosineski; first place low net included EJ Harkins, Keith Stoutner, Mike Center, and Anthony Aragona; second place low net included Mike Bucciferro, Eben Miller, Eric Stigberg, and Robert Purtell; third place low net included Chris Lanzi, Amanda Lanzi, DJ Ioele, and Mike Bowman.

“This was an extremely special year for our Golf Classic as it was not only part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration but it was also the first time FM had a winner of our hole-in-one for a vehicle!” said Lanzi. “EJ Harkins of Saratoga Eagle Sales and Services won a 2014 Chevrolet Impala sponsored by Mangino Chevrolet of Amsterdam. It was an exciting moment for us (the College), EJ, and Dave Groesbeck, General Manager of Mangino Chevrolet, who participated in our tournament and generously supports the Golf Classic each year with a Mangino sponsored hole-in one.”

This year’s Golf Classic committee members included Co-Chairs Eben Miller and Gregg Roth, Foundation Executive Director Lesley Lanzi, Foundation Administrative Assistant Diane Boslet as well as Jessica Boylan, Helen Buanno, Ashley Delaney, Mary Eaton, Jane Kelley, Sandra Maceyka, Amy Radik, John Roth, Sue Sammons, Cathi Willette, and Golf Pro Rich Scott.
