Dr. Swanger and Cassie with Professor Seppa and her students after a reading of “The Many Adventures of Cassie”

During the fall semester, the students in Professor Sheryl Seppa’s Children’s Literature class met with College President Dr. Dustin Swanger with a very specific project in mind; they interviewed him regarding his dog, Cassie, to write a children’s book about her. The students spent the last two semesters working on it, and members of the Graphic Arts Club helped to create the final printed edition. Professor Seppa invited Dr. Swanger back to class to hear and view the finished product. Not only did Dr. Swanger return to class, but he also brought the main character with him, Cassie.

Various students read different short stories from the book, titled “The Many Adventures of Cassie,” to Dr. Swanger. After the reading, Professor Seppa presented Dr. Swanger with a copy of the book.
