March 19, 2014 — Teaming with HFM BOCES Cosmetology Program and Fulton-Montgomery Community College’s Student Outreach Club, The Locks of Love organization will be on FM’s campus Tuesday, April 1, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., collecting hair donations. Students, alumni, faculty, and the community at-large are encouraged to join in this effort.
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. More information can be found at locksoflove.org.
HFM BOCES Cosmetology Program has graciously donated their time and expertise, and will be providing free haircuts in the student lounge area located on the lower level of the Classroom Building, to those individuals who are willing to donate 10” or more of hair. For those not able to donate hair, other services including feather extensions and hair cuts will be offered for a $10 donation. All proceeds will go directly to Locks of Love.
