March 13, 2014 — FM is currently seeking educators for its Summer Academy. According to Summer Academy Coordinator Audrey Egelston, an ideal instructor is a creative, engaging professional who enjoys working with young people and can develop an exceptional learning experience that students will remember for years to come. “For over 10 years, the FM Summer Academy has provided area youth in grades 3-8 with fun educational experiences,” says Egelston. “In the past, FM Summer Academy has offered courses in unique topics such as culinary arts, cosmetology, digital photography, genealogy, and paranormal investigating, just to name a few!”
The FM Summer Academy will run for three weeks: July 14, July 21, and July 28. Each week will have Morning (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) and Afternoon (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) sessions; instructors have the opportunity to teach half or full-day sessions. “Instructors will receive generous compensation for their services,” says Egelston.
