Spring 2014 New Student Orientation Registration

Congratulations on your decision to attend FM starting in the Spring 2014 semester. Orientation is required for all new students. Below is registration information on attending the new student orientation program to learn about college success strategies. Make your transition to college life easier by learning to navigate the system and by becoming an involved student on campus. We have planned a full day of college related activities, including refreshments, which are designed to familiarize you with important college topics. Our sessions include:

“Geek Squad” – This session is designed to get you acquainted with important college technology. You will learn about using MyFM, FM Self Service, MyAid, MyAppointment, and other necessary internet tools you, as a student, will be utilizing on a daily basis.

“Eyes On The Prize” – This important and informational session covers topics such as navigating your financial aid, academic advising and the overall Academic Experience. You will learn strategies that will help you adjust to college.

“#collegelife” – A fun and exciting session about the transition to college, meeting new friends, how to get involved and engaged on campus! This session provides tips on how to get the “social” aspect of college off to a great start! A great way to make the FM campus your new home!

PS 101 – This session introduces you (and your parents) to important topics concerning campus safety. You will learn about the FM Student Code of Conduct, the role of public safety, and how to make your experience a successful one on campus!
