Displaying “PEACE”

April 18, 2013

PEACEIn recognizing “Civility Week,” approximately 300 students and staff members spelled out the word “PEACE” on the campus quad.

“Civility is the foundation for creating a community that provides the intellectual and emotional safety necessary for students to reach their full potential,” says Psychology Instructor and Civility Committee member John van Bladel.  “Following the Civility Guidelines fosters critical thinking and emotional intelligence, both of which are important factors in professional and personal success.  Civility week provides numerous opportunities for members of the community to choose some of the twenty-five guidelines to practice with the support of the college community.”
