Fulton-Montgomery Community College’s Foggy Mountain Players present the rock musical Spring Awakening, April 26 – April 28 in the College Theatre. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening, set in Germany, is a rock musical adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s 1891 expressionist play about teenagers as they explore and discover sexuality and relationships.
Directed by Jason Radalin with Musical Direction by Phil Schuyler, the show will also feature members of local bands “The Dream Team” and “Third Rail,” along with actors Shawn Barnes, Samantha Bartholf, Shaming Boyd, Marc Christopher, Aeshly Detor, Michaela Goodell, Andy Haag, David Henderson, Daryl Hirschfeld, Danny Ortega, Brittney Outhout, Megan Siegle, and Edwin Vazquez.
The production will be held in FM’s Theatre, 2805 State Highway 67, Johnstown, on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. Student admission is $5.00 and general public admission is $8.00. The April 27 performance will directly follow the opening of the 2013 FM Student Art Exhibition next door in The Perrella Gallery.
