FM’s AAUW Club to Host Area Women Leaders Speaker’s Panel

April 2, 2013 — Fulton-Montgomery Community College’s AAUW Student Organization will present a women’s panel, entitled “Leading by Example” on Wednesday, April 10 at 12:00 p.m. in Raiders Cove in the Physical Education Building.

The event will feature seven prominent women from the local community including: Ladan Alomar, Director of Centro Civico, Amsterdam; Chandra Cotter, Johnstown City Engineer; Naquana Mitchell, former President of Fulton County Habitat for Humanity and a music major; Lynn Brown, Speech Therapist from HFM BOCES; Margo Reid, Registered Nurse and 1979 FM alumna; Marion Porterfield, Schenectady Council Woman; and Reverend Diana Fletcher.

“These successful women-leaders will come to FM’s campus to share their experiences with, and offer leadership advice to, FM students, faculty, and the local community. The event will be accompanied by a free lunch on a first-come, first-served basis,” says AAUW Club Advisor Anna Biel.
